Overview

Calibration ensures the VRTEX® 360 simulator accurately tracks gun position, travel angle, and distance for proper scoring and feedback.

Steps to Calibrate the System

  1. Power on the VRTEX® 360 system and allow the software to fully load to the home screen.

  2. From the main menu, select System Settings.

  3. Navigate to Calibration.

  4. Select the welding process and configuration you will be using (MIG, Stick, Flux-Cored, etc.).

  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to position the welding gun at the specified calibration points.

  6. Hold the gun steady at each point until the system confirms successful capture.

  7. Once all calibration points are recorded, select Save.

  8. Run a short test weld to verify tracking accuracy and scoring responsiveness.

Best Practices

  • Ensure sensors are clean and unobstructed.

  • Perform calibration after relocating the unit.

  • Recalibrate if scoring data appears inconsistent.
