If you witness or experience any safeguarding concern, misconduct, or incident, it is important to report it promptly so that appropriate action can be taken.

When Should You Report a Concern?

You should report a concern if you notice or experience:

• Abuse, bullying, or harassment
• Inappropriate behavior by a coach, official, or participant
• Safeguarding risks involving children or vulnerable individuals
• Breaches of conduct, policies, or ethical standards
• Any situation where someone’s safety or wellbeing may be at risk

How to Report a Concern

Follow these steps to raise a safeguarding concern:

1. Visit the Official Website
   Go to the Basketball England website.
2. Navigate to the “Report It” or Safeguarding Section
   Locate the section dedicated to reporting concerns or complaints.
3. Complete the Reporting Form
   Provide as much detail as possible, including:
   • Description of the incident
   • Date, time, and location
   • Names of individuals involved (if known)
   • Any supporting evidence or documentation
4. Submit the Report
   Once submitted, the safeguarding team will review the information and take appropriate action.

What Happens After You Report

• Your report will be reviewed confidentially by the safeguarding or disciplinary team.
• The organization may contact you for further details if required.
• Appropriate steps will be taken, which may include investigation, disciplinary action, or escalation depending on the severity of the issue.
