How to Request a Refund for Your Booking

If you’ve cancelled your booking or your host has cancelled, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund depending on the property’s cancellation policy.

Follow the steps below to check your refund status or raise a refund request.


? Steps to Request a Refund

  1. Log in to your Airbnb account.

  2. Go to “My Trips” → Select the booking you want to cancel.

  3. Click “Cancel Reservation.”

  4. Once cancelled, the refund amount (if applicable) will be displayed on-screen.

  5. You’ll receive a confirmation email from Airbnb with refund details.

  6. Refunds are processed automatically to your original payment method within:

    • 5–7 business days for Credit/Debit Cards

    • 24 hours for Wallet or Airbnb Credits

    • 2–3 business days for UPI or NetBanking


? If You Haven’t Received Your Refund

  • Double-check your bank account or wallet linked to the booking.

  • Verify your booking ID and refund confirmation email.

  • If you still haven’t received it after 7 business days, raise a support ticket here → selecting:

    • Category: Refund

    • Issue Type: Refund not received

  • For non-refundable bookings, contact support for alternate solutions.
