How to Download and Assign Microsoft 365 Licenses

Once your Microsoft 365 licenses are activated through the Cloud Marketplace, you need to manage and assign them to users through the Microsoft Online Services Portal.

✅ Steps to Assign Licenses

  1. Login to Microsoft Online Services Portal

    • Use the admin username and temporary password provided in the Cloud Marketplace order confirmation.

    • You will be prompted to change the temporary password on first login.

  2. Access Licenses

    • From the dashboard, open BillingLicenses to view your available Microsoft 365 licenses.

  3. Assign Licenses to Users

    • Go to UsersActive Users.

    • Click + Add User to create a new user.

    • Enter user details (name, email).

    • Under Select Licenses, tick the checkbox for the relevant Microsoft 365 license.

    • Click Create to assign the license.

  4. Download Office Applications

    • Once a user has a license, they can sign in at portal.office.com and click Install Now to download Office apps.

  • If you’re unsure which licenses have been activated or need to purchase more, check the Cloud Marketplace interface.

  • Contact support if you encounter errors during sign-in or assignment.
