Managing Your Accounts with Contracting Plus

At Contracting Plus, we make it easy for contractors to manage their finances with transparency, compliance, and confidence. Whether you're using our Umbrella service or operating through your Personal Limited Company, our platform and accounting team are here to support you every step of the way.


? 1. Accessing Your Online Account

Once you're onboarded, log in to your portal at:
? portal.contractingplus.com

Here you can:

  • View invoices and payslips

  • Submit expenses

  • Upload documents

  • Track payments

  • Message your account manager

? Note: Use two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security.


? 2. Submitting Invoices

Umbrella Contractors

  • We handle the invoicing for you.

  • Your agency/client sends payment directly to Contracting Plus.

  • You’ll receive a payslip once payment is processed.

Personal Limited Company (PLC) Contractors

  • Use our invoice generator or upload your own.

  • Include contract references, hours/days worked, and agreed rates.

  • Your dedicated accountant will review and send to the client if needed.

? Tip: Submit invoices promptly to avoid payroll delays.


? 3. Logging and Claiming Expenses

All contractors can claim allowable business expenses through the portal:

  • Travel & subsistence

  • Work-related equipment

  • Professional subscriptions

  • Office/home expenses (PLC only)

How to submit:

  1. Go to Expenses tab

  2. Upload a photo or PDF of the receipt

  3. Add a short description and amount

  4. Submit for review

✅ Our team will validate the claim based on jurisdictional rules (e.g., HMRC in the UK, local tax bodies in EU).


? 4. Viewing Payslips & Financial Reports

You’ll receive regular payslips and end-of-year summaries based on your setup:

  • Umbrella contractors: PAYE payslips and tax summaries

  • PLC contractors: Salary + dividend breakdowns, profit & loss reports, VAT returns

? Download reports from the Documents or Reports section.


? 5. Tax & Compliance Management

Your account manager and accountant ensure:

  • Timely filing of tax returns

  • Compliance with IR35 and other regulations

  • Submission of statutory returns (VAT, payroll taxes, annual accounts)

? We’ll notify you of key dates and responsibilities so nothing is missed.
